On the website of the Government Legislative Centre there was a draft amendment of the Act on combating sexual threats and protecting minors, commonly referred to as the "Kamilka Act". The changes would concern respective issues, and 1 of the most crucial issues is that excessive requirements will be removed, including for parents.
The draft amendment of the "Kamilka Act" assumes that, for example, volunteers will no longer gotta pay for a certificate from the National Court registry on non-criminality. However, the Ministry of Justice besides made an crucial bow towards parents. They will no longer gotta submit information from the KRS.

No more parent certificates.
Not only the school authorities, but besides the parents, were waiting for changes to the Kamilka Act. It turns out that the draft amendment contains changes which can importantly facilitate the organisation of any school events. What's gonna change? Here, for example, a novelty is the introduction of the work for parents taking part in trips or events involving children.
Parents will gotta supply a message to the institutions that they do not appear in the registry of Persecutions on the Sexual Chronicle or in the registry of the State Commission for the Prevention of Sexual Abuse of Minors under the age of 15, have not been legally convicted and are not subject to judicial prohibitions relating to activities with children.


Modified crime directory
In the amendment of the bill, 1 of the crucial changes is besides the extension of the list of offences excluding the anticipation of working with children. These include intentional crimes against life and health, sexual freedom, morality, family, care and those related to drug crime. They are subject to a ban on working with children (Article 21c(1)). This besides applies to convictions of abroad courts.


The bill was addressed to an opinion and may inactive be amended before it is discussed in the Sejm. However, there are many indications that, according to the draft, those obliged to introduce standards for the protection of minors are required to update them by 15 August 2026.
