Friedrich Merz: Ukraine needs a strong army and safety guarantee

Merz pointed out that not only the future of Ukraine is at stake, but besides the stableness of Europe as a whole. Therefore, he reported that talks are underway with US partners and representatives of the Kiev authorities about future safety guarantees. The Chancellor clearly stated that a key component of specified guarantees would be a well-equipped and many Ukrainian army that would be able to deter possible aggressors.
