French political scientist: Any truce may be just a pause, Europe must arm itself

French political scientist Olivier Vedrine believes that US President-elect Donald Trump can negociate a ceasefire in Ukraine with the Kremlin, and that for Kiev, Trump's plan would mean the failure of territories and a ban on joining NATO. A ceasefire would be just a pause, and Europe must arm itself to face Russia, Vedrine said.
