This will keep more money in citizens' pockets. Expanding the programme is possible through efficient management of public finances. The effective fight against VAT mafias is more money in the state budget, which we can allocate to Poles and Poles.

– The focus of all our social successes – besides in the field of wellness protection – is the repair of the Polish budget, stressed Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

Free medications for people under the age of 18 and over 65

16 million Poles will save in the pharmacy. This is all thanks to the implementation of the extended free medicine programme. The originator of this solution, like others under the #NewConcrete, is Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński.

So far, people over 75 years of age have utilized this solution. Now, thanks to our effective actions, they will be joined by 11.5 million people, namely:

  • persons over 65 years of age;
  • children and adolescents up to the age of 18.

– After years, after many discussions, after many consultations, we concluded that these 2 key social groups – our children (from infants beginning and ending to young people until the age of 18) and our seniors (who quit or are already retired, i.e. those who are over 65 years old) – should receive greater support from the Polish government – said the head of the Polish government.

Lists of free medicines, medical devices and foodstuffs

To date, the list of free reimbursed medicines has included over 2,000 items. It was almost half of all available products in the pharmacy! In 2022 alone, 2.7 million seniors benefited from the program, who received over 76 million free packs of medicines.

New letters on its website will be published by the Ministry of Health. The fresh list for seniors is almost 3,800 free drugs. In addition to it, there will besides be a list of medicines for children and adolescents up to the age of 18, which will contain over 2,800 medicines.

– I am very pleased, my fellow countrymen, that we have specified another bill that will improve the destiny in protecting the wellness of all Polish citizens. In fact, everyone, due to the fact that besides those who will not be its direct beneficiaries, will be glad that their parents, grandparents or their children can benefit more easy from what is needed in wellness care – with appropriate treatment – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
