French-Russian rivalry has entered a fresh – global level. So far, Africa seemed to be the main field of play. There, however, Paris lost influence in respective countries and changed its strategy. Now he decided to rematch himself and engage in the direction where Moscow had been building its influences, that is, in Central Asia for years. France has made talks with Armenia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and is besides seeking opportunities in Mongolia. This is simply a problem for Russia, due to the fact that it must observe this region more closely and change the vector of presence.
