This year, the number of registered participants in the pilgrimage from Paris to Chartres on 23-25 May increased significantly.
On the first day of registration, which traditionally began on Palm Sunday, about 14,000 pilgrims already reported. Last year, the first day was about 6,000. Registration is inactive open; however, due to advanced interest in interior procedures, it is essential to adapt regularly as any groups and regions are already full reserved. Last year the pilgrimage was attended by a evidence number of pilgrims – 19 thousand.
According to the organizers, any places are inactive available. Those who neglect to book a place can follow the pilgrimage via live broadcast. The pilgrimage traditionally begins in Paris and leads participants on ft to Chartres. Since 1983, “Pèlerinage de Chartres” has been considered the largest gathering of conventional Catholics in France.
