On the night of Tuesday for Wednesday, activists from the humanitarian Global Sumud Flotilla, coming to aid the Gaza population, reported that their ships were attacked by drones. The Italian spokeswoman of the flotilla reported that units were hit: Italian, English and Polish. Polish co-organizers of the initiative informed that on board the Polish unit there were Poles: MPs Franciszek Sterczewski, Omar Faris, Nina Ptak and Ewa Jasiewicz and that no of them were injured.
On Thursday on the X portal, Minister Sikorski published a probe in which he asked the audience whether "if a Polish citizen, even a Member, repeatedly warned, goes to the war area", the Polish State should cover the costs of evacuation or recover the costs of evacuation.
Sterczewski responded to the entry of the head of the MFA. "As an MP, I have a work to be where human rights are violated. You, too, Radek, have personally helped Ukraine and praise you for that. Poles are solidarity with Palestine. I hope that the Polish government will besides stand on the side of those who want to end this genocide, alternatively of billing them," he replied to the Deputy Prime Minister on X.
Sterczewski claims to have contacted the Ministry of abroad Affairs
On Wednesday Sterczewski told PAP that he had contacted the Ministry of abroad Affairs and the participants expected a clear position of the ministry that the nightly attack on the humanitarian flotilla for the Gaza Strip was a violation of global law.
On the same day, MFA spokesperson Paweł Wroński told PAP that until then there had been no confirmation of whose drones and in which waters the incidental occurred. He besides stressed that Mr Sterczewski did not communicate with the Ministry of abroad Affairs, but made the entries on the X platform available.
There is simply a humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, including hunger, caused by Israel's war on Hamas for nearly 2 years. The number of casualties on the Palestinian side in Israel's ongoing offensive to the Gaza Strip exceeded 65,000, reported Palestinian medical services. According to humanitarian organisations, the situation is deteriorating, and the amount of aid that Israel passes is inactive insufficient. Israel rejects the allegations that his actions contribute to hunger and announces further steps to improve the transportation of aid.
