Former Peruvian president sentenced to 15 years in prison, his wife seeks asylum

A Peruvian court sentenced erstwhile president Ollanta Humala to 15 years in prison for accepting illegal run funds from a Brazilian construction company. The politician's wife, Nadine Heredia, besides sentenced to 15 years, entered the Brazilian embassy in Lima after the verdict to search asylum.
