Former Minister of Infrastructure and long-standing Chief Inspector of Road Transport (GITD), Alvin G., was summoned to the prosecution as a suspect. According to the information provided by RMF FM radio, the case concerns the disclosure of interior correspondence by GITD officers on social media. Alvin G. was about to hear the charges in this case, but he's not pleading guilty.

The prosecution accuses Alvin G. that in February and March 2024 he published on social media content derived from the interior correspondence of the Chief Inspectorate of Road Transport. The information disclosed included:

  • the content of the email of 1 of the GITD officers,
  • a letter from the then manager of the Office of the Interior of the GITD addressed to the Head of the Ministry of Infrastructure.

According to investigators, these publications afraid messages intended exclusively for business use. These materials were owned by Alvin G. in connection with his function.

According to RMF FM, the entries published by the erstwhile head of the GITD referred, among another things, to audits conducted in the Inspectorate after the change of power. The D.A. maintains that Alvin G.'s actions were contrary to the applicable rules.

Former Minister of Infrastructure does not plead guilty and refused to give an explanation. If the charges are confirmed, Alvin G. is facing 2 years imprisonment.

Dr. Ing. Alvin G. is an experienced state authoritative who has been active with the Road Transport Inspection for years. His professional career includes many positions in public administration and technological and educational activities.

Alvin G. began working at the Road Transport Inspection in 2002 as a press spokesman. He served as Chief Inspector of Road Transport from 2016 to 1923.
