Former CIA and NSA worker Edward Snowden received Russian citizenship

A erstwhile worker of the American services - the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the National safety Agency (NSA) - received Russian citizenship from Vladimir Putin. Snowden has been staying in Russia for years, where he hid after revealing information about the gigantic scope of surveillance that the US has committed against its own citizens and even representatives of the governments of another countries.
