First locally built frigate launched for Egypt

On 4 December, a MEKO A-200EN frigate Sajm Al-Jabbar (910) was launched at the Alexandria Shipyard in Alexandria Shipyard (El-Quwwāt el-Bahareya el-Miṣriyya). The frigate is the first to be built by an Egyptian shipyard under a licence granted by a German shipyard.
