Finland: Lapland a base for US aviation?

The bilateral defence cooperation agreement being negotiated with the US means that the US army will “in any form” be present on Finnish territory, president Sauli Niinisto confirmed on Thursday. According to the press, the United States Air Force will be stationed in Rovaniemi, beyond the Arctic Circle.
