The trial of Sebastian M., accused of causing a tragic accident on the A1 motorway in September 2023, in which a household of 3 died, began before the Piotrków Trybunalski court. A man is facing up to 8 years in prison.
The A1 accident has shaken public opinion. Directed by Sebastian M. bmw, driving at a velocity of more than 300 km/h, it hit a decently moving kia that stood on fire. A married couple and their 5-year-old boy died. After the accident, the driver bmw fled to the arabian Emirates, where he was brought to Poland in May 2025.
Sebastian M.'s trial is open after the court refused to exclude the disclosure of the trial. The defence besides requested that the case be referred to mediation. A akin will was expressed by the lawyer of the victims of the accident – subject to the anticipation that this may happen after reading the indictment.
Sebastian M. does not plead guilty.
