Philippines wants its defence industry

Philippines president Ferdinand Marcos Jr. signed a bill on Tuesday to stimulate the native defence industry. This law has been in circulation for more than 2 months. After an extended conflict in the home of Representatives, the bill was ratified on 12 August, despite the difference in the final wording of the paper from the version previously proposed by the home known as "On the revival of self-sufficiency". From the very beginning, the task was recognised by all as a precedence in the face of regional threats posed by the close proximity of the People's Republic of China and Beijing's fresh efforts towards neighbouring countries.
