Fico accuses the opposition of preparing a coup d'état

Robert Fico, the prime minister of Slovakia, accused the opposition of preparing a coup d'état in a video published on the Internet. In addition, he besides threatened Ukraine that he would veto financial aid from the European Union for Kiev. In December, Fico visited Moscow, where he met with Russian president Vladimir Putin, who reportedly assured the head of the Slovak government of Moscow's "readiness to proceed gas supplies to the West and Slovakia."
