FCAS is not the European aircraft of the future? [ANALYSIS]

Despite the fact that the very name Future Combat Air strategy says that FCAS is much more than just a next-generation combat aircraft. However, in the public sense, there has been a kind of simplification of this kind – as if FCAS was the equivalent of the European successor to the F-35. However, Head of the FCAS Programme at Airbus Defence and Space, Bruno Fichefeux is trying to paint a broad image of the project. In fact, FCAS is, as specialists say, a "system of systems", i.e. a comprehensive project, involving the cooperation of various presently utilized and developed within FCAS manned and unmanned platforms, weapons, communication systems, command and their cooperation in a multi-domain conflict.
