The Polish football representation remains without a coach. Maciej Skorża did not accept the proposal to take the position of a selector.
“The Polish federation addressed me with specified a proposal. I do not hide that it would be a large honor for me to be coach of the Polish team, but at the minute there are also goals ahead of me, another tasks to be carried out," said the trainer.
The rejection of the proposal was commented by the head of PZP Cezary Kulesza: “Maciej Skorża not so much refused, as he had the current contract and yesterday late evening he called me and informed me that he is after the talks and now there is no anticipation to terminate the contract with the club” – we read in the release quoted by PAP.
Among the successors of Michał Probierz, who trained the white-red ones until 12 June, in addition to the already obsolete candidacy of Maciej Skorża, the Croatian Nenad Bjelica and the squad footballer Jan Urban.
