The conference was chaired by Mateusz Kicka, a press attaché of the European Parliament in the EP office in Poland. He pointed out that the balance of the Polish Presidency, the fresh strategical partnership in the European Union and transatlantic relations is crucial. This balance was summed up by Mr Michał Szczerba, rapporteur for the study on EU strategical Defence and safety Partnerships.
