Dream factory. Conversation with John Štifter about his latest book “Café Groll” [WIVE]

"Public home workers created an alternate cultural scene, frequently at a very advanced level, but no of them would admit at home where they truly work. Their top fear was that individual – a policeman, a neighbour – would betray the fact to their family. It can be said that they worked in “dream factories”, but they were not their own dreams. They fulfilled the dreams of the men who came to them," says Jan Štifter, author of the book "Café Groll".
