F-16s intercepted the jet over Washington. 4 people are dead

A private jet flying over Washington did not respond to contact attempts. This triggered the launch of six USAF F-16 fighter jets and exceptional authorization to fly them at supersonic velocity over the city. The civilian device left the Washington area and crashed on uninhabited terrain in the Montebello area, about 300km from the US capital. 4 people died in the crash.
