On Thursday late afternoon, there was a tragic accident involving an F-16 aircraft. The fighter fell to the ground while performing the maneuver, which was first reported by "Gazeta Wyborcza". Emergency services are on site.
F-16 crashed during rehearsals before Air Show
As TVN24 determined, the device belonged to Tiger Demo squad Poland, and there was a show pilot in the cabin. peculiar Services coordinator, Tomasz Siemoniak, stated after 20 o'clock that the pilot had not survived. The site of the disaster is to be visited by defence minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.
"Tragedy in Radom, in preparation for AirShow crashed F-16 aircraft. Unfortunately, the pilot died. Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz spoke to the Prime Minister, he is on his way to the scene of the accident," wrote government spokesperson Adam Szpiek on page X.
The recordings show how the aircraft performs maneuvers, and at any point it falls and hits the ground – then at the airport we see a fireball. This was the first F-16 accident in Poland in 20 years of operation in our country of this machine.
Journalist Dawid Owczarek from the local Echo Day portal said to his editor: "The F-16 aircraft from the Tiger Demo squad peaked over the belt, did not lift up, just hit the ground. He went on fire immediately. Firefighters work here.
