The MV Hondius tour, on which the Hantavirus was detected, sailed to Tenerife. Passenger evacuation is underway – most have already been transported to countries of origin.
According to the Spanish authorities, previously tested passengers showed no signs of infection. The French government, however, reported that symptoms of illness occurred in 1 of the French citizens during the return flight.
After the operation, the ship is to depart to Rotterdam with part of the crew on board. The captain of the unit is Pole Jan Dobrogowski, who, as GIS said, is healthy.
The planet wellness Organization has so far confirmed 8 hantavirus infections and 3 cruise deaths.
