I thought of suffering that accompanied dying. After all, Jesus always accepts relief even erstwhile there is no chance of healing. Relief of suffering is an act of love, and love is the center of the Gospel.
Isn't terminal sedation technically euthanasia? The heart is inactive beating, but the head is shut down forever.
Is it not in practice euthanasia to halt persistent treatment that leads to death?
In these cases, does there truly be a difference between "relief" and "continuation" of life?
Isn't it just a game of words – to calm your conscience and let you to keep your consent with the teaching of the Church?
After all, it is about relief, and death becomes an inevitable consequence.
