Eurosatory 2024: French CAESAR goes to Croatia

The Croatian delegation of the Ministry of Defence was represented by the Head of the Ivic Grebenar Material Resources Directorate. The signed framework agreement thus forms the legal basis, allowing the conditions for the acquisition of French artillery by Zagreb, although it is not binding by its nature. In the event of accession to the implementation phase on behalf of Croatia, this acquisition will be negotiated with KNDS France by the French government. This will thus let for faster implementation of the full operation and may increase the attractiveness of the offer.
This acquisition can be co-financed by the European Union under the EU EDIRPA programme, which would cover 10-15% of the acquisition value. However, in order to qualify for the contract, 3 EU countries request to participate, which is not a problem due to the fact that the framework agreement besides includes the signature of the Estonian delegation.
