Eurosatory 2024: France seeks rocket lobster

The French are presently moving a FLPT program to identify a fresh generation of rocket artillery. Shortly after the end of the Cold War, Paris had at least 50 M270 MLRS launchers and more than 20,000 M26 short-range missiles with clusterheads for them, but most of the launchers—and all of the cluster ammunition stock had been withdrawn in the framework of structural simplification (notabene, the demilitarization of the "casets" were held together with the UK to reduce costs).
