Macron: Europe has underestimated Russia's threat for besides long
As Emmanuel Macron stressed, although the Russian economy is weaker than European, The Kremlin is developing weapons production faster and implementing a fresh atomic doctrine.
The French president besides pointed out the activities of the so-called. ‘Russian secret army’, which does not operate in battlefields, but in the information and political space of democratic states. It includes digital bots, disinformation campaigns, cyber attacks, the usage of migration as a tool of pressure, and even eliminating political opponents.

Macron pointed out that Europe cannot trust solely on NATO – Europe besides needs its own safety guarantees.
Russian disinformation is now the most dangerous weapon
In my opinion, the most dangerous actions are “Russian secret army”So propaganda and disinformation online. These are organised operations conducted by state structures (GRU, FSB, Troll Plants), pro-Russian media and networks of false accounts. Their aim is to influence public opinion, weaken the political unity of the West and support the narratives beneficial to the Kremlin.
The most common techniques of Russian propaganda:
1. Production and dissemination of false information – fake news, manipulated photos and videos, fabricated “proofs”.
2. Emotional manipulation – playing on fear (war, migration, crises), generating anger and feeling powerless.
3. Strengthening social divides – supporting utmost environments, fueling disputes over migration, LGBT, vaccination or history.
4. Permanent narrations of the Kremlin – Russia as a ‘victim’, Ukraine as a ‘fallen state’, the West as a ‘hypocritic’, NATO as a ‘provocator’.
The Kremlin's goals are clear.
Russian ‘secret army’ has the task of:
• discourage Western societies from supporting Ukraine, make information chaos and strengthen the fatigue of war,
• undermine assurance in the European Union and NATO;
• divide societies by creating 2 hostile camps incapable to dialogue.
As a result, it is hard for democracies to make joint decisions on security.
And by observing the situation in my country, I can say that Russia has mostly achieved these objectives.
