In view of Europe's tight safety situation, the European Commission has taken financial decisions on how to set up EU countries. The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, announced on Tuesday a five-point plan to set up Europe to mobilise up to EUR 800 billion in defence. It includes, among another things, a debt package of EUR 150 billion for anti-aircraft defence and the anticipation of utilizing cohesion policy funds.
