Europe demands changes in Trump's peace plan – these are the most crucial differences

1) The promise of NATO indiscretion has been removed. The U.S. plan said: "Russia will not interfere in neighbouring countries and NATO will not grow further".

2. The number of armed forces of Ukraine is limited to 800,000 soldiers alternatively of 600,000 in the US plan.

3) Left the anticipation of Ukraine joining NATO. The European plan states this point as follows: "The accession of Ukraine to NATO depends on the consensus of NATO members that does not exist." The US plan states: "Ukraine agrees to evidence in its constitution that it will not join NATO, and NATO agrees to include in its statutes a provision that Ukraine will not be adopted in the future".

4) NATO will not deploy troops in Ukraine only during peace, as stated in point 8 of the Europe Plan. The U.S. plan states that “NATO agrees not to deploy troops in UkraineIt’s okay. ”

5) Ukraine receives a "US warrant that reflects Article 5" of NATO (the attack on 1 associate of the Alliance is treated as an attack on all). The US plan simply states in point 10: "US Guarantee".

6) European plan does not prohibit Ukraine from carrying out attacks on Moscow and St. Petersburg. In the American plan, this request is set out in point 10.

7) Russia will be reintegrated gradually into the planet economy, as stated in point 13 of the European Plan. In the American plan, the word “degreeally” is omitted.

8) Europe rejected the American version of Ukraine's reconstruction. The European plan states: “Ukraine will be completely rebuilt and will receive financial compensation, including from Russian sovereign assets that will stay frozen until Russia will compensate Ukraine for lossesIt’s okay. ” The US plan describes in item where the frozen assets will hit.

9) Ukraine and Europe will be part of a group with the US and Russia to guarantee that the peace agreement is respected. The American paper mentions only the US and Russia.

10) The European plan states that "Ukraine will adopt EU rules on spiritual tolerance and the protection of language minorities". This point is described in more item in the American Plan: the parties undertake to change education programmes, root out racism, abolish discriminatory measures in the media and education, and reject "Nazi ideology".

11) The European plan states that "the territorial exchange negotiations will start with a line of contact". There are no another details. In the U.S. plan, Crimea, Lugansk and Donetsk circuits will be considered de facto Russian, and in the Kherson and Zaporosian circuits, war operations will be frozen along the front line. In addition, it is envisaged to retreat Ukrainian troops from Russia's unoccupied part of the Donetsk Oblast, and the withdrawal region will be considered a neutral, demilitarised buffer region belonging to the Russian Federation.

12) There is no precise date for holding elections in Ukraine. The European plan says that they will take place "as shortly as possible after the peace agreement has been signed". The American plan says 100 days.
