EU extends sanctions against Russia. Hungary stepped down after EC guarantees

EU diplomatic chiefs at a gathering in Brussels on Monday unanimously decided to extend economical sanctions on Russia, which were due to expire next Friday. Hungary, so far opposed to their continuation, received guarantees from the European Commission for further negotiations with Ukraine on gas transit.
