EU defence spending is breaking fresh records. They are chasing the USA. Russia is far behind

The European Defence Agency has published its yearly study "Defence Data" for the years 2025-2026. It shows that the full defence spending of the 27 associate States of the European Union reached €418 billion in 2025 – 20% more than in 2024 and the equivalent of 2.2% of the EU's GDP.
