Estonia buys more artillery from France

CAESAR (Camion Équipé d’un Système d’Artillerie) is simply a French wheeled armohaubica produced by KNDS Nexter (formerly the Next Group). It is suitable for installation on chassis of various trucks in 6x6 or 8x8, according to client requirements. The most commonly utilized carriers are Renault Sherpa 5, Mercedes-Benz Unimog (both 6x6) and Tatra 815-7 (8x8). CAESAR has a 155 mm main weapon with a L/52 barrel (approximately 8 metres long) with a maximum burden capacity of more than 40 km erstwhile firing shard-storming rounds with a bottom gas generator. CAESAR uses a wide scope of JBMoU-compatible ammunition, including classical shard-storming, anti-tank BONUS and fresh guided Katana 155 mm missiles.
