Engelgard: Volyn lies

myslpolska.info 1 year ago

The same politicians and journalists in Poland, who regular shout about the genocide carried out in Ukraine by Russia, the apparent symbol of which is Bucz, where according to UN reports 70 people have died (in not full explained circumstances) – they make remarkable equilibrist efforts to avoid the word "genocide" in relation to Volyn, where about 60,000 Poles died in mass massacres, from cradle to old people. This is an apparent proof that we have in Poland a full army of people unworthy and lying.

They usually mention to “unfavorable circumstances”. There is war, Ukraine fights, so this is not a good time for specified settlements – they say. But in past years, e.g. in 2013, on the 70th anniversary of the crime of genocide in Volyn, erstwhile there was no war in the east – they said precisely the same thing! It was during the memorable parliamentary debate, considering item 5 of the session of the Sejm, "Teaching the 70th anniversary of the tragedy of the Polish population in the east Borders of the Second Republic", rapporteur Robert Tyszkiewicz (PO) immediately stated that "controversy was about the usage of the word "genocide" erstwhile describing the Volyn crime". He and most of the committee advocated the word "ethnic cleansing with the characteristics of genocide". I remind you, there was no war then, and the position of these centers was the same as today.

The Polish political elites have a problem with Volyn, due to the fact that on the 1 hand they do not want the subject to be discussed at all, as politicians specified as Jan Krzysztof Bielecki and journalists like Jacek Żakowski spoke loudly these days ("why compose about it, it looks like a Russian trolling"), on the another hand they do not know how to make a wolf (meaning Ukraine) whole. This is the problem of the ruling party, part of which considers this issue important. Hence the theatrical gestures of Andrzej Duda and Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. The second visited the non-existent village of Puźniki on Podolu, where in February 1945 the UPA sotnia murdered 80 Poles. Well, since the authoritative Ukrainian media reported that the Polish Prime Minister visited the crime scene by the Soviets! And that's how this game of cat and mouse goes on at the victims' graves. It shows the conditions under which this fake game is played. Ukraine is not and will not be ready for any concessions, due to the fact that its identity, and not just Western Ukraine, is based on the criminal tradition of the CNS-UPA and its worship is only increasing. And nothing will aid the yearly spell of the Polish authorities that they will not remainder until they exhume, make cemeteries and condemn criminals.
