The Emirates are talking to Hezbollah. What about the escalation in the mediate East?

The United arabian Emirates considered Hezbollah to be a terrorist organization in 2014, and 2 years later the full Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), i.e. in addition to the UAE, besides Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, did the same. It was a period of top tension between the Sunni GCC countries and Iran, mostly linked to the Syrian war, the Yemeni war and the persecution of the Shiite number in Saudi Arabia. However, the GCC states were far from pursuing a coherent policy, and the rivalry between the main actors, including the UAE, is very clear.
