DUBAI- Emirates (EK) made its highly anticipated return to the Paris Airshow on June 17, 2025, marking the world’s largest international airline’s first participation in over 15 years.
The carrier showcased its newest Airbus A350 aircraft at Le Bourget (LBG), France, during the 55th edition of the International Paris Airshow, which runs until June 19.

Emirates Aircraft Display
The airline positioned its A350 as the centrepiece of its exhibition, featuring next-generation cabin design and cutting-edge interior technologies. The displayed aircraft accommodates passengers across 3 cabin classes.
This includes 32 next-generation Business Class lie-flat seats configured in a 1-2-1 layout, 21 Premium Economy seats, and 259 generously pitched Economy Class seats.
Visitors experienced Emirates’ enhanced cabin offerings, including increased storage space, extra-high ceilings, and wider aisles throughout all travel classes. The aircraft demonstrates the airline’s latest in-flight entertainment system, providing cinematic viewing experiences alongside enhanced cabin lighting, faster Wi-Fi connectivity, and improved seat ergonomics.

Executive Statements
Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, emphasised the significance of the airline’s return to France’s premier aerospace exhibition.
Clark stated that participating in the Paris Air Show demonstrates Emirates’ commitment to supporting France’s aviation industry through daily operations and ongoing investments across the aerospace supply chain.
The executive highlighted the platform’s importance as one of the most significant aerospace exhibitions globally.

French Route Operations
Emirates (EK) currently operates extensive services to France, maintaining 21 weekly flights to Paris (CDG), including 3 daily Airbus A380 services.
The airline provides daily A380 service to Nice (NCE) and daily A350 flights to Lyon (LYS).
Emirates (EK) holds the distinction of being the first and only international airline operating A380 aircraft to Nice Côte d’Azur Airport (NCE).
Emirates has invested significantly in France’s aviation sector over the past three decades, since beginning operations in 1985.
The airline has committed over €114 billion (US$130 billion) to purchase 254 Airbus aircraft, including A300, A310, A330, A340-300, A340-500, A380, and A350 models.
These purchases have supported thousands of jobs at major French aerospace companies, including Airbus, Safran, and Thales.

Recent Contracts
In 2023, Emirates (EK) announced substantial contracts with French suppliers worth over €1.0 billion (US$1.14 billion) combined.
The agreements include a €896 million (US$1.0 billion) contract for Safran Seats covering Emirates’ new Airbus A350, Boeing 777X-9, and existing Boeing 777-300ER aircraft fleets.
Additionally, the airline invested over €322 million (US$367.5 million) in Thales’ AVANT Up system for its A350 aircraft.
Emirates (EK) maintains strategic partnerships with French manufacturers, sourcing Michelin tires, Safran aircraft components and seating systems, and Thales avionics equipment.
The airline’s procurement extends to specialised products, with France serving as Emirates’ top global source for wine procurement. Bordeaux wine comprises 58% of red wine consumed in Emirates’ First and Business Class cabins.

Future Plans
Emirates (EK) contributes over €189 million (US$215 million) annually to the French economy through operational expenditures. This includes fuel purchases, overflight charges, catering services, landing fees, crew accommodations, and advertising investments.
Emirates SkyCargo operates weekly cargo rotations connecting Dubai World Central, Paris Charles de Gaulle, and Lyon Saint-Exupery airports. It supports trade between the UAE and France, which represents France’s largest Middle Eastern export partner.
The airline expects its A350 fleet to serve 17 destinations by year-end, having welcomed seven A350 aircraft, with 58 additional units scheduled for delivery over the coming years.
