DUBAI- Emirates Airline (EK) has deployed 4 ice cream carts across Dubai International Airport (DXB) to enhance customer experience during the anticipated surge in Eid Al Adha departures.
The airline expects substantial passenger volumes between June 1-9 and urges travellers to utilise remote check-in services for smoother journeys.

Emirates Free Ice Cream
Passengers travelling through Dubai International Airport (DXB) on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday between 12 pm and 6 pm can collect complimentary Emirates ice cream for their entire family.
From June 6-20, the four strategically positioned carts throughout various Departures areas will serve mango, chocolate, and strawberry ice cream alongside passionfruit and raspberry sorbet options.
Emirates advises customers to arrive 3 hours before flight departure and monitor boarding times to reach the gates punctually.
The airline expects increased road traffic approaching the airport, longer immigration queues, and extended travel times between concourses during peak periods.
Passengers must complete immigration procedures 1.5 hours before departure and reach the boarding gates one hour before takeoff.
The Emirates app provides comprehensive flight management capabilities. This includes booking changes, digital boarding pass downloads, flight notifications, meal information, Business Class hot meal pre-ordering, chauffeur service booking, and inflight entertainment pre-selection. Online and app check-in services open 48 hours before flight departure.

Advanced Check-In Options
Emirates offers complimentary luggage drop-off at the airport 24 hours before departure, or 12 hours early for US-bound flights. Passengers then proceed directly to immigration areas closer to departure time.
The Emirates City Check-in and Travel Store in ICD Brookfield Place, Dubai International Financial Centre, operates daily from 8 am to 10 pm.
Located in the business district, this facility allows luggage drop-off between 4 and 24 hours before flights through self-service kiosks, dedicated agent desks, or Sara, the world’s first robot check-in agent.

Home Check-In
Emirates (EK) provides Home Check-In services for Dubai and Sharjah residents, where agents complete check-in procedures at customers’ homes, hotels, or offices and transport luggage directly to flights.
This complimentary service for First Class passengers and Platinum Skywards members requires a 24-hour advance booking.

Airport Transportation
Emirates (EK) operates complimentary trains between Concourse A and Concourse B in Terminal 3.
Shuttle buses connect Concourse A and Concourse C every 20 minutes, operating 24/7 with pickup points at the Arrival Level Central Connection Desk in Concourse A and Connection Desk E Duty Free Level in Concourse C.
First Class customers access dedicated Emirates buggies on request, while Dubai Airport Buggies serve all passengers free of charge, prioritising old travellers, families with children, and People of Determination.

Baggage Compliance
Emirates (EK) enforces strict baggage regulations requiring power banks in hand luggage only. Smart bags require removable batteries within cabin size and weight limits, remaining powered off during travel.
E-cigarettes, e-cigars, e-pipes, and personal vaporisers need individual protection against accidental activation and travel as carry-on items exclusively.
Enhanced Shopping
EmiratesRED.com enables customers to pre-order exclusive duty-free products delivered directly to their seats in-flight. The service operates on most flights, allowing shopping from 21 days to 40 hours before departure.
Emirates RED’s summer catalogue features over 200 products from Hermes, Cartier, Tom Ford, Creed, and Jo Malone brands, offering 10% Eid Al Adha discounts with code ‘REDMAG‘.
