DUBAI- Emirates (EK) Skywards and Garuda Airlines’ (GA) GarudaMiles members now enjoy expanded loyalty benefits, earning and redeeming miles across a combined network of over 200 destinations.

This collaboration strengthens their existing partnership, enhancing global connectivity and travel rewards for frequent flyers.

Emirates (EK) and Garuda Indonesia (GA) have deepened their partnership by introducing reciprocal loyalty benefits for their frequent flyer programmes.

Both Emirates Skywards and GarudaMiles members can now earn and redeem miles seamlessly across both airlines’ extensive networks, covering more than 200 destinations worldwide.

This agreement builds upon the airlines’ existing codeshare partnership, established in 2022, which has already enhanced travel connectivity between Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and beyond.

The new loyalty programme integration offers greater flexibility and value, ensuring members maximize their travel experiences.

The enhanced partnership was formalized at the Aviation Festival Asia 2025, where key airline executives signed the agreement.

Representing Emirates Skywards, Dr. Nejib Ben Khedher, Divisional Senior Vice President, and Rahmaniar, Miles & Ancillary Group Head of Garuda Indonesia, highlighted the strategic importance of this collaboration.

Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates, emphasized that this initiative aligns with Skywards’ commitment to offering greater value and expanded travel opportunities for its members.

Earn Miles Across Both Networks: Members can earn miles when flying with either airline. Emirates Skywards members earn up to 2 miles per mile flown on Garuda Indonesia, while GarudaMiles members accumulate miles on Emirates flights.
Flexible Redemption Options: Miles can be redeemed for flights on either airline, with Garuda Indonesia redemptions starting at 8,000 miles.
Seamless Global Connectivity: Emirates’ network of over 140 destinations and Garuda Indonesia’s 37 domestic and 15 international destinations offer members access to a vast range of travel options.
Premium Travel Rewards: Members can enjoy cabin upgrades, flight discounts, and exclusive benefits based on their loyalty tier.
Comprehensive Travel Perks: The collaboration enhances customer experience through shared lounge access, priority boarding, and additional perks for elite-tier members.

Emirates operates double daily flights to Jakarta (CGK) and Bali (DPS), deploying its flagship A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft.

It offers four membership tiers—Blue, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Each providing exclusive privileges such as flight upgrades, access to premium lounges, and priority services.

The programme has received multiple accolades, including ‘Best Earning and Redemption Ability’ at the 2023 Frequent Traveler Awards and ‘World’s Leading Airline – Rewards Programme’ at the World Travel Awards 2024.
