Can you receive a pension in Poland without working 1 day? In the vast majority of cases, the answer is NO – as a rule, the pensioner must gain at least a minimum of adequate work placement and completion of 60 (for women) or 65 (for men). But there are exceptions! The authority in Poland may grant a peculiar service on a discretionary basis. evidence payments of this kind scope up to PLN 5 1000 gross per month!

How can you not live up to your last days in complete poverty? In order to receive a pension from the Social Insurance Institution, at least 20 should be worked (for women(or 25 years (for men). The lowest benefit granted by the Prime Minister was PLN 1,000, and the highest – as much as PLN 5 thousand! Moreover, the peculiar pension does not decrease the benefits obtained from the Social Insurance Institution and is so added to the pension.

Benefits granted by the Prime Minister were mainly awarded to meritorious persons – i.e. underground activists in the Polish People's Republic of Poland. At 1 time, peculiar pensions were besides given to families of doctors and nurses who died during the COVID-19 pandemic. Morawiecki besides granted 36 additional benefits "because of the hard life situation resulting from peculiar random events". Prime Minister Donald Tusk besides utilized this anticipation – in 2024 he granted 32 peculiar pensions.

How else can a pension be guaranteed in Poland without paying ZUS contributions? Among another things by outstanding athletic achievements.
