In 2015, then the leader of the Civic Platform Grzegorz Schetyna arrived in Koński. He then met with the mayor of the city Krzysztof Obratanski. In an interview with the weekly “To Things” which he gave a fewer days after his visit, he stated that “elections are won in Konski, not in Wilanów‘.
When talking to PAP almost 10 years after these events, he pointed out that it was then “about County Poland. The decisions are made right there. Today's reality only confirms that," said the erstwhile leader of the Civic Platform.
Horses 2025. Not the first specified debate
Before the second circular of the final presidential election Andrzej Duda proposed to Rafał Trzaskowski a debate in Koński. The mayor of Orbatan agreed, and in his conversation with the media he would point out that “the inhabitants of Koński felt noticed and devalued.”
– This is something that produces affirmative reactions. It's not frequently that things happen in a town the size of a horse, which influence our nationwide reality – added the self-government.

Ultimately, the debate planned failed due to the fact that Rafał Trzaskowski organized his own gathering in Leszno. A fewer weeks later, the town election powerfully supported Andrzej Duda and 12 out of 17,000 voters voted for him.
Former president signed the bill under the Railway Plus programme, announcing the restoration of rail connections to the city. The promise was fulfilled – the connections resumed in 2021, and the image with the head of state sitting at the desk on the platform gained a iconic position on the Internet.
Nawrocki calls Trzaskowski. Horses again in the center of events
Debate in Konski during the current presidential run first to propose Nawrocki. During his visit to the city at the end of March, he proposed to Trzaskowski to stand in a skirmish.
“I hope that in the last 5 years the component of the masculinity of Rafał Trzaskowski is already at the right level and will not chicken out,” Nawrocki said. referring to events 5 years ago.

Election expert: territory towns are more unpredictable
The crucial territory cities – besides seen from the position of all electoral staff – were highlighted in the conversation with PAP Dr Agnieszka Zaremba, a political scientist from Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce.

In fresh years Konskie has consistently they were on the right side. In the second circular of the 2020 presidential election, Andrzej Duda won here 62% of votesand Rafał Trzaskowski 38 percent.
In parliamentary elections The PiS gained 54 percent in the city. in 2019 and 44.9 percent in 2023, ahead of the KO, which reached 16.3 and 22.5 percent respectively.
