The legislature did not agree to appoint Dr. Mateusz Szpytma to the position of president of the Institute of National Remembrance. Earlier, his candidacy won a majority in the Sejm, but the support of the advanced home of parliament was essential for Szpytma to take up the position vacated a year ago by Karol Nawrocki.
