On 27 September 1939, General Gen. Michał Tokarzewski-Karaszewicz, together with a group of WP officers, formed the Polish triumph Service – a conspiratorial military organization to proceed the fight against both occupiers. On 4 December 1939, the Prime Minister of the Polish Government in exile, General Władysław Sikorski, established the Armed conflict Union. On 14 February 1942, General Sikorski converted the ZWZ into the National Army.
The most crucial goal of the AK was to fight Germany and prepare the personnel and form military units to trigger an uprising against the occupier. Secret structures subordinated to the emigration government were called after the war the Polish Underground State. There was no specified country in Europe.
