Since 1 July 2025, drivers candidates are waiting for crucial changes. The Ministry of Infrastructure, led by Dariusz Klimczak, introduces fresh regulations that importantly tighten the examination rules. These changes, as reported by the portal brd24.pl, were pushed through the environment of examiners and directors of the Provincial Road Traffic Centres.

New regulations, fresh realities – more rigidity, little chance of opinion

The amended regulation was already announced in the authoritative diary of the Acts in May. The fresh rules mean that the evaluation of the applicable part of the examination is strengthened and that it is more likely to fail. The key change is the introduction new table 9which clearly indicates errors resulting in immediate interruption of the exam.

An example? Even a temporary raid on a double continuous line, e.g. erstwhile avoiding a mis-parked car, ends the exam automatically. Until now, the examiner may have taken into account the situation context – now the regulation of zero tolerance applies, regardless of the reason.

Raw rules besides for motorcyclists

The fresh requirements besides apply to category A examinations. Candidates will gotta remove the motorcycle from the support and decision it around the maneuvering area, which, although not for driving alone, is equally rigorous.

Experts point out that specified an approach to examination has been applied before, but in time it was considered obsolete. presently only Poland and Latvia keep specified a formalised model, even though the European Commission has been recommending more modern assessment tools for years, specified as hazard perception testing.

Who will benefit from the changes? Examiners and WORDs

According to the journalist, == sync, corrected by elderman ==, Łukasz Zboralski, behind the changes is an informal agreement between examiners and directors of examination centres. For examiners, the fresh strategy means little work and the request to measure the situation independently. For WORDs – savings.

In exchange for restoring the ‘rigid list of errors’, the examiners agreed to support the abolition of the work of the second driver to be present in the test vehicle during the tests on the motorcycle. In this way, centres do not gotta employment additional people, which means reducing the cost of conducting examinations.

Local governments and manufacture protest

Not all environments support fresh legislation. They were opposed, among others. Marshal's Office of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship and Association of Polish Provinces. They pointed out that method errors – specified as raiding a continuous line – do not always mean a real danger on the road. In practice, there may be a situation in which the examiner must neglect the student despite his deficiency of responsibility – e.g. in the case of a truck driver who does not have the physical ability to execute the maneuver without crossing the line.

Transport industry: ‘Acts against public interest’

The changes are besides criticised by Maciej Wroński, president of the association Transport and Logistics Poland. In his letter to the Minister, he stresses that the fresh government serves mainly the interests of training and examination institutions, not society or economy.

Wronski notes the paradox: the harder exams, the lower level of real driver skills and road safety. In his opinion, the ministry works for the benefit of the closed environment, disregarding the interests of citizens and the transport industry, which needs efficient, well-trained and fast-track drivers.
