Egypt may send troops to Saudi Arabia. Parliament has given its approval

The Egyptian parliament has authorized president Abd al-Fattah al-Sisi to supply military support to Saudi Arabia should Riyadh request assistance. The decision was made in consequence to the escalating attacks by Yemeni Houthi rebels. Cairo emphasizes that any specified operation would be defensive in nature and would not affect strikes on Yemeni territory.
