Earthquake in Kaczyński. His trusted man lost his job

On Monday, "Newsweek" reported that Kazimierz Kujda, a longtime associate of Jarosław Kaczyński, was recalled from his position as president of the Silver Company, closely connected to PiS. But this is just the beginning of change.

The Silver Company, owned by the Lech Kaczyński Foundation (and its board of directors has included Jarosław Kaczyński himself), has been in the centre of controversy for years.

One of the most celebrated is the case of the alleged 2 towers, i.e. the plan of building office buildings in Warsaw, which became a symbol of the double PiS affair. In March the subject of Silver came back to headlines after Barbara Skrzypek, a longtime co-worker of Kaczyński, was interviewed in connection with the case, and a fewer days later died of a heart attack.

Kazimierz Kujda dismissed from the position of president of Silver

According to Newsweek, Kujda was replaced by Tomasz Bartczak. He previously served as a financial typical of the election committee of Karol Nawrocki and the PiS committees in respective fresh election campaigns.

The weekly speakers say that Kujda was "unmoveable", which only exacerbates the suspicion that his cancellation is simply a consequence of major problems. 1 reason was his inability to carry out a key task, i.e. to buy a villa for the purposes of the intimate museum of Lech Kaczyński.

The change in the position of president is, according to reports, the beginning of major changes in the structure of the company.

This is only the beginning of changes in Kaczyński's company

Kazimierz Kujda has been a character associated with PiS for years. He was president of Silver from 1995 to 1998 and 2008 to 2015, and at the beginning of 2024 he again took the position. From 2015 to 2019 he headed the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management. However, he gave up this function.

In June 2022, the Warsaw territory Court ruled that Kujda was a mirroring liar and a secret associate of the safety body of the totalitarian state. Although he appealed, on January 29, 2025, the Court of Appeal retained this ruling.

According to IPN documents, Kujda was recruited by SB in 1979 at the age of 27. He acted under the pseudonym "Ryszard" and recounted his abroad trips to an officer leading, with whom he met, among others, in Warsaw hotels. In 1987, he was removed from the register.
