Early presidential elections in the Republic of Serbia: Dodik candidate victory

On 23 November, Siniša Karan was victorious in the early presidential elections in the Serbian Republic (RS; Bosnia and Herzegovina – BiH). According to the preliminary results provided by the Central Election Commission originating from the Union of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), the politician won 50.3% of the vote. Branko Blanuša – his main rival, a candidate presented by the Serbian Democratic organization (SDS) and supported by opposition groups – gained 48.36% of support. The turnout was nearly 35% and was 18pp lower than during the 2022 vote.
