Poland is among the largest food producers in the European Union. In 2024 it ranked 5th among EU countries in terms of the value of agri-food production, accounting for about 8 percent of the EU market.
Our country is the largest maker of apples and poultry in the Union, has a leading position in dairy, cheese and milk production, and is highly placed in the pork, sweets and bakery category.
It besides has a strong position in the export of vegetables – especially cabbages, carrots, onions and mushrooms – and soft fruit specified as blueberries, raspberries and strawberries, which have become increasingly recognisable on planet markets in fresh years.
