On 29 November 1830 in Warsaw, a group of military young people led by Lieutenant Piotr Wysocki started 1 of the most crucial national uprisings – the November Uprising. These events, which began with the storm on Belvedere, the residence of Grand Duke of Constante, became a symbol of the conflict for independency in the face of a considerable advantage of the possessor. The footmen of the Infantry Infantry School showed remarkable courage, choosing to take armed opposition despite the large difficulties and hazard of defeat.
