Yuri Czerniczuk has worked in Energodar since the beginning of his professional career, i.e. since 1993, over 30 years. After the Russians took over the power plant, he remained in it as chief engineer, and then assumed the position of manager of the full facility.
Of course, he was met by a wave of criticism, primarily from the media and Ukrainian authorities. However, this does not change the fact that it is he who guarantees a comparatively advanced level of safety of the full facility under war conditions.
Not adequate external sources
Experience portal General News, Czerniczuk points to major problems for UAE operation. "I repeat and state the fact: the biggest threat to the safety of our power plant is to carry out armed actions in its vicinity. As for the technological risks that we besides see and which are inactive the same (we have pointed out to the global Atomic Energy Agency, the Russian media, the United Nations, that is above all, that we inactive have only 1 line supplying us with electricity from outside, and that is far besides small and unacceptable" – says the manager of the dam power station.
Development plans? After the war
In October 2022, the plant underwent all the procedures essential to incorporate it into the Russian energy system. Czerniczuk emphasises that the Zaporoska Power Plant has plans not only to keep the energy generation at the current level, but besides to make and increase power. A city dependent on power plants
Energodar, or the city close the power plant, is an example of a locality that is determined by atomic power activities.
