President instructed
The government developed instructions for president Nawrocki. due to the fact that in many cases its text is not available – I print it here. For me, it is simply a short scan of our helplessness written on paper, proof that the effort to seal the interior enemy compromises us and the very fact of specified appointment of the President, and a tiny amount of material "instruction". Position of the Polish Government on the visit of the president of Poland to the United States
The results of talks between the president of the Republic of Poland, Mr Karol Nawrocki, and the American side, including US president Donald Trump, during the visit to the United States planned on 2-5 September this year should clearly confirm the cross-party, unchangeable and unchanging nature of political and social support in Poland for successful strategical and friendly improvement of the Republic of Poland and the United States.
The most crucial thing will be to item Poland's assets in terms of the crucial exceeding of allied commitments on defence expenditure, the choice of the USA as the main partner in the modernization of the Polish Armed Forces and the supply of energy sources (LNG, atomic energy). We agree that the consolidation and extension of the American military presence in Poland is in the interests of Poland and Europe. Similarly, strengthening cooperation in the field of energy through LNG purchases and the construction of the first atomic power plant is simply a pillar of our country's energy security.
Priority will be given to convincing the American side to the request for good and close transatlantic relations. On the 1 hand, arguments should be put forward to support Europe's crucial function in the implementation of the security/national interests of the United States and, consequently, to keep political commitment and US military presence in Europe and to refrain from antagonising Europe. On the another hand, it is essential to guarantee that European allies are determined to fulfil their allied obligations in terms of defence and collective defence spending and to take work for their safety and their close neighbourhood.
The most crucial issue from the point of view of the safety interests of the Polish Republic will be the issue of peace negotiations concerning Ukraine. Poland has shared work for stableness and safety in the region, so we are full committed to all efforts to find a solution to Russia's war in Ukraine. This solution is simply a lasting and fair peace based on respect for the principles of global law and independency and territorial integrity of Ukraine. We keep our readiness to participate in the “Intent Coalition” activities, which is fundamental to the possible operation of support forces. Poland appreciates the readiness of the US to engage in safety guarantees for Ukraine. Our joint action will definitely increase the effectiveness of specified guarantees not only in Kiev's eyes, but besides in Moscow's eyes, expanding the likelihood of achieving lasting peace and averting the threat of resuming war.
The government believes that 3 cases require peculiar care. Firstly, it is appropriate to avoid making commitments to future purchases of American arms due to ongoing analyses of the needs of the Polish Armed Forces. Secondly, it is desirable to abstain from declaring support for the US entity as a atomic power plant contractor at a second location as this would constitute interference in the competition procedure. Thirdly, it is essential to avoid addressing the issue of the introduction of a digital taxation and regulation of social media in Poland, without prejudging the result of national discussions on this subject.
