

According to Polish Radio, the fund's pool is EUR 150 billion. The funds that would receive Poland, or around EUR 20 billion, would be spent by the end of the year.
“And this amount was transferred unofficially in negotiations with the European Commission to signal that Poland is very counting on the money that we will invest in Polish defence industry, in Polish companies and, above all, in Polish jobs. As a result, in economical improvement and innovation of our economy, Paweł Karbowicz told Polish Radio.
The Deputy Minister of Finance drew attention to the function of Mr Peter Serafin, EU Commissioner for Budget Affairs, the fight against fraud and public administration. Karbowicz said that it was Seraphin who pointed out to EU officials the “advanced investment plans” of Poland in the field of defence, which should be completed.
“The discussion with the Commission was that we should have the opportunity, at least in the first phase of financing, to submit Polish projects, and in the future, erstwhile there are joint projects, we will besides be submitting with another countries,” said the Deputy Minister.
White Paper and the European Union
Air and rocket defence, artillery systems, ammunition and the east Shield to strengthen the protection of the land border have been among the areas that request to be reinforced in the framework of Europe's arming. It was pointed out in a White Paper on Defence published on Wednesday by the European Commission.
The White Paper drawn up by the Commissioner for Defence, from Lithuania, Andrius Kubilius, clarifies the European president of the European Commission's previously presented plan to bring together the European Commission Ursuli von der Leyen. These include EUR 150 billion of loans for arms projects, loosening associate States' budgetary discipline in defence expenditure and the anticipation of redeploying funds under the EU budget. The proposal will be discussed by the leaders of the 27 associate States at the Brussels Summit on Thursday.
