On 11 March 2025 Rodrigo Duterte, the erstwhile president of the country, was arrested in the Philippines, accused of crimes against humanity. He was then transported to The Hague, where he is awaiting trial before the global Criminal Court. This is the end of the career of 1 of the most disgusting – and fascinating – figures of the modern planet of politics.
